SOA from Legacy Systems

Here are some slides about a research project I did in 2007 on deriving services and a service oriented architecture from legacy systems.  The slides are from the annual research projects event at MITRE.  It was interesting how this project turned out - we started with a very analytical focus (how do the attributes of legacy systems provide info for an SOA design) but ended the research with more of a management perspective (mostly, why program managers don't want to build or provide services). You can view or download these slides [here].
